The Smart ICT Centre at SK Cyberjaya is now and running.

It was launched on Tuesday by Datin Ahmad, wife of Deputy Works Minister and Sepang MP Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed

Present at the ceremony were SK Cyberjaya principal Asmah Ismail, Cyberview Sdn Bhd managing director Redza Rafiq, Sepang Municipal Council officers and representatives of the school’s PTA.

The centre also received a boost in the form of 15 computers contributed by Cyberview. The company also handed over three computers to the council for its rural ICT programme.

The state-of-the-art, high-speed computers included eight desktops with large touch-screen panels.

The CPUs were also compact and designed for saving space.

At a press conference later, Redza said the project was mooted last year but Cyberview decided to swap the originally intended desktop with the latest in the market.

“As landowner, it is Cyberview’s duty to develop and boost young ICT talents within the community.

“We have given the best because we don’t want to limit students’ capabilities,” he said.

SK Cyberjaya in Flagship Zone 2, Cyberjaya, began its first school session in 2002 and only offers the morning session for now.

The school’s enrolment stands at 450. with students not just from Cyberjaya but Puchong and Dengkil as well.
